FILM & VIDEO

For more than two decades, Erik has been spinning the wheels of the entertainment industry, and his journey started with a bang—or rather, a shower. Yes, his first gig as a Production Assistant on ‘April’s Shower’ quickly turned into a rise to stardom as the 2nd Assistant Camera, proving that sometimes the fastest way to the top is literally through the lens.

Having honed his cinematic prowess while earning a degree in Film & Video Production, Erik found himself in the wild west of filmmaking—Los Angeles. Dodging union cards like a seasoned gambler dodges bad hands, he became part of a camera crew so hardworking they made the Energizer Bunny look like a slacker. But let’s not get carried away; Erik never joined the union, making him the rebel without a cause… or a card.

In 2005, Erik packed his bags and returned to the land of sunshine, oranges, and alligators—Central Florida. Joining Crawford Entertainment, he helped turn a trio of creatives into a squad of over 10 professionals, birthing the TV phenomenon ‘How to Do Florida.’ From Saltwater Cowboys to The Lost Treasure Fleet of 1715, Erik’s talents knew no bounds, proving that in Florida, even the alligators get their close-up.

Fast forward to 2015, and Erik decided it was time to call the shots—literally. Starting his own production company, he went from editing award-winning episodes of ‘Music Voyager’ to directing the whole shebang from Season 6 to 10. Erik’s world tour included filming in the Sistine Chapel (when it was empty, mind you), a camel ride into the Sahara for an epic sunrise, and a casual voyage down the Amazon River. Who needs frequent flyer miles when you’ve got Erik’s passport?
